Cosmetology
Cosmetology course, is the art and science of beauty care. It involves the care of the skin, hair, scalp and nails. This course is designed with the individual in mind, keeping up with the current trends in the field of Cosmetology. Cosmetology course include pre-clinical training skills in: related science, business and salon management, safety and sanitation, other elected subjects and Applied sciences and clinical skills in: shampooing, scalp and hair conditioning, hair design and shaping, chemical hair control, hair coloring, hair styling, facials and makeup, manicures.
Students receive classes in theory, which gives them a basic scientific knowledge of various subjects such as chemistry, anatomy, physiology, hair cutting, hair styling, permanent waving, hair coloring, manicuring, facials, pin curling, roller placement, and salon management. In addition, practical classes are also given prior to clinic floor training.

Nail Technology
Nail Technology is the complete study of the arms, hands and nails including the diseases and disorders and the cosmetics used. The objective of this program is to prepare students to know the correct procedure and have the ability to pursue a career as a professional technician. Nail Technology includes pre-clinical training in: sciences of anatomy, dermatology, chemistry, electricity and light, safety and sanitation as related to manicuring, and Minnesota Statutes which pertain to manicuring practice and applied sciences and clinical skills in manicuring including at least 50 manicures. (10 applications of artificial nails, 3 of which are sculptured on the nail.)
